A True Backcountry Hunting Experience
Located deep in northern British Columbia, this remote wilderness hunting operation offers an authentic, boots-on-the-ground experience far from crowds and road systems. Situated approximately 165 air miles north of Smithers, the hunting area borders a vast protected wilderness park and spans roughly 1,200 square miles of rugged, untouched terrain. As a result, hunters gain access to expansive landscapes that few ever see.
Camps Designed for Serious Hunters
The primary base camp features comfortable log and frame cabins and serves as the launch point for most hunts. From there, hunters move into strategically placed spike camps consisting of traditional wall tents, allowing access to prime country. Furthermore, for high-elevation and extremely remote goat hunts, lightweight backpack tents are used to reach the most inaccessible areas. This flexible camp system ensures hunters are always positioned where game is most active.
Backpack Hunts with Strategic Access
Although all hunts are conducted in a backpack style, select transportation methods are occasionally utilized when conditions allow. For example, Argo ATVs or boats may be used on certain moose hunts to reach remote drainages more efficiently. In addition, several small, isolated lakes serve as drop-off points for true wilderness backpack hunts, further expanding hunting opportunities.
Vast Drainages and Multi-Species Opportunities
The hunting territory encompasses portions of the Skeena, Klappan, Spatsizi, and Stikine river systems—regions known for their biodiversity and challenging terrain. Most hunts are ten days in length and may include single or multiple species. However, longer custom trips can be arranged upon request, offering added flexibility for experienced hunters.
Personalized, Low-Pressure Hunts
Because this is a small, personalized operation, hunter numbers are intentionally limited. Consequently, pressure remains low, expectations are clearly set, and each hunt is tailored to deliver a focused, high-quality backcountry experience.
