Alberta Moose & Whitetail Hunting – Pigeon Lake
This moose and whitetail hunt takes place in mid-to-late November, during the rut to post-rut transition rifle season. Bulls typically measure 35”–45”+, with 10–20% of hunters harvesting bulls over 50” in recent years.
Moose hunts have a 90% opportunity rate with this outfitter, while whitetail hunts offer a 100% opportunity rate for a trophy buck. Expect deer in the 150”–160” range, with multiple bucks harvested annually in the Boone & Crockett size category.
Hunting takes place near Pigeon Lake, southwest of Edmonton, Alberta, in rolling hills and a mix of farmland and bush. This is an easy hunt physically, with very few wolves or black bears in the area, allowing moose and whitetail numbers to remain high and continue growing each year.
Hunters stay in cozy cabins with access to a nice lodge for meals and relaxing after a long day of hunting. This is an excellent, long-time Alberta outfitter, providing quality hunts in prime terrain.
