Alaska – Peninsula Brown Bear Hunt

This terrific Alaskan bear hunt takes place at the far end of the Alaskan Peninsula in the Izembek National Wildlife Refuge.

The Kodiak Island Trophy Coastal Brown Bear Hunt is guided by a proven father-and-son team with more than 30 years of experience on the island. Over time, they have guided more than 40 Boone & Crockett Kodiak brown bears. Because the hunt takes place inside their exclusive concession, hunters enjoy low pressure and excellent bear quality.

Each hunt is based out of a remote tent camp. From there, hunters head out daily to glass valleys and mountains for mature boars. While the terrain includes both lowlands and steep ground, it allows strong visibility for spot-and-stalk hunting. As a result, most shots occur inside 250 yards, although longer shots are possible when conditions allow.

In the spring, bears roam widely while searching for sows. During the fall, however, bears focus heavily on salmon streams. Although this hunt is physically demanding, patience and effort are consistently rewarded. Above all, this family-run operation is known for excellent hospitality, strong success, and a first-class Kodiak experience.
