Whitetail Hunting on Private Land

Kansas is widely recognized as one of the top states in the country for producing mature whitetail deer, and this operation is built around carefully managed private land in proven big-buck country. Located within GMU 15 and 5, tags are easy to draw and hunts are available during both archery and rifle seasons, giving hunters multiple opportunities to pursue mature deer.

Every hunt is conducted on pre-scouted properties where deer movement, bedding areas, and travel corridors are carefully monitored throughout the season. Hunters pursue whitetails from a variety of setups including tree stands, ground blinds, and tower blinds, all positioned in prime locations. With rich agricultural land, river-bottom habitat, and low hunting pressure, the region consistently produces impressive Kansas bucks.

World-Class Waterfowl Hunting in the Central Flyway

In addition to exceptional deer hunting, the area is famous for migrating ducks and geese traveling through the Central Flyway. Situated near Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira National Wildlife Refuge, hunters benefit from massive concentrations of birds moving through and wintering in the region each season. 

Duck hunts are conducted on private ponds and dry fields during the later season when conditions allow. We also hunt fields for Canada geese, specklebellies, and migrating snows. The Shoshone team spends extensive time scouting the area, tracking migration patterns and bird movement to ensure hunters are placed in the most productive locations possible.

Wild Quail & Pheasant Hunts

Upland hunting is a great way to extend your day in the field after a morning hunting ducks and geese. Populations of wild bobwhite quail are very good and most hunters will run into wild pheasants on the same hunt. Preserve pheasant hunts are also available with higher limits and extended seasons.
