Shoshone Adventures Elk Hunting Possibilities Are Truly Endless
The adventure of hunting elk is an experience that you don’t want to miss. Since 1987 Shoshone has curated once-in-a-lifetime encounters with elk in the most beautiful locales in the western United States and Canada. Many hunt options are quite rugged and require excellent physical fitness, whereas others are much easier. The rewards of this pursuit include the grandeur of the animals as well as the unique, picturesque terrain in which they reside. There are advantages and differences to the various locations for elk hunting from elk numbers and size to terrain, style of hunting, weaponry, and accommodations, not to mention differences in drawing tags versus guaranteed tags. Shoshone is the expert in finding just the right location for your next elk hunting adventure. We also provide our clients with knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. Our knowledge of these differences is what ensures that your Shoshone elk hunt gives you the best opportunity for a successful hunt.
Elk hunts can range from experiences that include staying in the outfitters’ private home and eating at their dinner table to a more remote experience in a cabin or wall tent on expansive acreage to large luxurious lodges. A noteworthy advantage to many of the elk hunting locations is that you can add additional game to your hunt. For example, in many locations, you can add in fly fishing, whitetail or mule deer, wolves, or black bear. The possibilities for the hunt are more than you can imagine. Typically, in the Western United States, September is archery elk season while rifle seasons run from October- December depending on the state with muzzleloader seasons varying widely by location. In Canada by contrast most areas allow archery or rifle hunting throughout the season meaning that you can hunt the rut with a rifle! Shoshone has also carefully curated numerous properties enrolled in special programs in the Western United States that provide guaranteed tags and some that allow hunting with any weapon during any season. Each location lends itself to a different type of experience, whether with a small group or a large corporate travel event. Shoshone is proud to tailor the elk hunting experiences to fit your unique set of expectations and needs. We strive to exceed your expectations by providing once-in-a-lifetime adventures.
