On their wilderness combination hunts you can expect to see between 30-40 Bull Tahr a day with 5-10 trophy bulls as well with multiple trophy chamois. New Zealand Tahr and chamois can be hunted year-round. Himalayan Tahr hunting is best on the West Coast of New Zealand from February through November with peak rut hunting occurring May through early July. Bull Tahr are in their prized winter coats April through August and can be found in their summer coats in late October through March. You can also be hunted Alpine Chamois year round, though hunting is for chamois best February - July. Chamois rut is May - July. This outfitter uses a helicopter to access the remote campsites within the Southern Alps, the flight is truly spectacular.
