Adventure Description
Merriam turkeys were successfully transplanted several years ago, in Southeastern B.C., and for the first time ever (1999 spring), the season was opened for hunting. Turkey hunting is probably the most underrated of all species. Calling a mature tom to within legal shotgun range is in some people’s opinion, the ultimate sport. Requirements are, as in hunting any other species; persistence, patience, and a good knowledge of the animal and its habitat. Outfitter takes only four non-residents per year.
