Moose hunts take place along the remote western edge of Alberta, near the British Columbia border, roughly 300 kilometers south of the Northwest Territories. This region is defined by vast swamps, muskegs, and winding river systems—specifically, the legendary Chinchaga River, one of the most serpentine waterways in Alberta. The sheer diversity and ruggedness of this terrain make for a physically demanding and rewarding hunting experience. We also pursue moose across a wide range of terrain including cutlines, pipelines, clear-cut forest blocks, and large ponds. These areas often provide the freshest sign of moose activity—tree rubs, wallows, and other indicators of rutting bulls nearby. What truly sets this outfitter apart from other hunting destinations is the unique timing and setting of their bear hunts, which take place exclusively in the fall. This allows the bears ample time to grow large, healthy, and beautifully furred, creating an exceptional opportunity for hunters. These hunts are conducted using the exciting spot-and-stalk method during the vibrant fall season, when bears are at their prime. Black bear hunting territory is located in one of the northernmost agricultural zones in Alberta. This region produces some of the largest black bears (bruins) in Canada, thanks to an abundance of nutritious crops surrounded by endless miles of remote boreal forest. We hunt an intensely productive 10-square-mile area, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of unpressured wilderness. The bears here are heavily concentrated around scattered oat fields, and on a typical evening, it's not uncommon to see 15–20 bears in a single field—making for one of the most adrenaline-filled bear hunting experiences you’ll ever have.
